Service Procedures

Drop-Off Process

• All bicycles must be checked in with a completed service form
• We will provide a detailed inspection and written estimate
• Work will not begin until you approve the estimate
• Please remove all personal items from your bicycle before drop-off

Service Timeline

• Standard repairs: 24-48 hours
• Comprehensive overhauls: 3-5 business days
• Custom builds or special orders: 1-2 weeks
• Emergency repairs available by arrangement

Quality Standards

Precision Cyclery maintains the highest standards for all bicycle repairs:

• Only certified mechanics perform repairs
• We use quality replacement parts from reputable manufacturers
• All work is tested and inspected before completion
• Safety is our primary concern in all service decisions

Parts and Components

Replacement Parts

• We stock quality parts from major manufacturers
• Special orders available for specific requirements
• Used or customer-supplied parts installed at customer's risk
• We recommend against using inferior or incompatible parts

Customer-Supplied Parts

• Installation of customer-supplied parts available
• No warranty provided on customer-supplied parts
• We reserve the right to refuse installation of unsafe parts
• Labor warranty still applies to installation work

Pickup and Storage

Bicycle Pickup

• We will contact you when your bicycle is ready
• Please bring photo ID and service receipt for pickup
• Payment is due in full at time of pickup
• Test your bicycle's operation before leaving our shop

Storage Policy

• Completed bicycles held free for 14 days
• Storage fees apply after 30 days ($5 per day)
• Bicycles unclaimed after 60 days considered abandoned
• We are not responsible for theft or damage during storage

Safety and Responsibility

Important Safety Notice: Bicycle maintenance is critical for safe operation. You are responsible for:

• Reporting all known issues and concerns
• Following recommended maintenance schedules
• Using appropriate safety gear (helmets, lights, etc.)
• Riding within your skill level and local traffic laws

Limitation of Services

Precision Cyclery reserves the right to:

• Refuse service on bicycles deemed unsafe to repair
• Recommend replacement over repair when cost-prohibitive
• Prioritize safety over cosmetic concerns
• Consult with customers before making safety-related changes

Environmental Responsibility

We are committed to environmental stewardship:

• Proper disposal of old parts and fluids
• Recycling programs for batteries and components
• Recommendations for extending bicycle component life
• Supporting sustainable transportation through cycling
